Lobo and Llama Wooden Quilt Display Hanger – My Review
My fellow quilters – I have an amazing find that I want to share with you today!
I don’t know about you but I love quilted wall hangings. I usually make my wall quilts smaller and then my full size quilts are on quilt ladders in my home. Well, even though I believe you can’t have too many quilts, I do believe you have too many quilt ladders! I am not a fan of hanging full quilts with a quilt sleeve, so what’s a quilter to do when you want to display your beautiful work? Enter the beautiful handmade wooden quilt hangers from Lobo and Llama!
Lobo and Llama graciously sent me this beautiful 70″ wooden hanger in Maple. I love the sleek look and I was immediately intrigued! I had seen these posted on social media recently so I was excited to jump in and try this!
This beautiful hanger easily hangs on the wall with minimum hardware and effort!
Real life did strike during this experience….someone happened to throw away the hanging hardware with the box that the hanger came in. I’m not going to name names (cough cough…Mr. Sugar Stitches), but the box and hardware were already disposed of by the time I realized it. I reached out to Lobo and Llama and asked for HELP! I was so ready to hang my hanger and quilt! Luckily, they sent me a photo of the hangers and turns out, it was a common hanger that I easily found on Amazon. Day saved! I ordered them and in no time, my hanger was installed! They also sent great instructions with pictures, but frankly, this hanger is so easy to install, the instructions were just a security measure! Especially since we managed to make a rookie mistake like throwing away the hanging hardware SMH…
Now that I had the hardware needed, time to hang this beauty! After quickly installing hangers on the wall, the fun part comes in! This hanger is designed to “sandwich” your quilt in the middle to hang it with no adjustment to the quilt. I love that you can change up the quilts that you use so easily as well!
The two portions of the hanger separate and allow you to slide your quilt in between the two pieces. Simply align the quilt top near the drilled holes. Place the the top beam on top of the quilt and then insert the screws and fasteners!
Here is a view of the back of the hanger where the fastener is attached and tightened to hold your quilt!
Perfectly secured in the beam and now we are ready to hang back on the wall!
